E.C.C.E. Scheme:
The Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme was introduced in January 2010. It was hoped that all children would benefit from a pre-school place during this crucial year of a child’s development prior to commencing Primary School. Children are eligible if they are aged between 3 years 3 months and 4 years 6 months on 1st September each year.
Fairyland Creche operates the E.C.C.E. scheme from September to June in line with the school calendar through delivering a Montessori Curriculum and will implement “Siolta” and “Aistear” which is the new framework and curriculum in early childhood care & education which is currently being developed.
The E.C.C.E. scheme will be implemented for 3 hours per day (9 am – 12 md) Monday to Friday during school term time.
C.E.T.S. Scheme:
The Childhood Education & Training Support Scheme supports parents who attend FAS or VEC courses, with childcare expenses for the duration of their course.
Eligible parents will be notified by their local FAS or VEC office who decides whether a student/trainee qualifies for a C.E.T.S. place.
On production of a letter from FAS or VEC stating a student’s eligibility for the scheme, any available place at Fairyland Creche will be allocated for the duration of their course as stated in their letter.
